Background |
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I started my studies which, at first, were not primarily related to Arts. In those days, studying Arts as a career was not seen as a very favourable choice, nevertheless, I always felt a strong leaning towards it, more precisely towards Painting.
So later on, after a self-teaching period in which I opted for experiences derived from direct observation, I started my vocational training in Arts at various Art Institutions with the guidance of well-known artists in my country. As from 1983 I have taken some courses and I have had the privilege of learning from many talented artists, such as:
Prof. Miguel Dávila (1983/ 86)
Prof. Isabel Merellano (1987/ 89)
Prof. Emilio Renart (1988/ 90)
History of Art course 1986-7 and
Investigation on Creativity courses I,II,III,IV
1988-90.
At the Eduardo Sívori Art Museum of Buenos Aires City
Scenery design for Opera 1993-94.
At the Colon Theater of Bs.As. City.
Integral Creativity Foundation of Buenos Aires (1990)- member, which dedicates itself to the plastic-oriented experimental investigation.
I have been holding exhibitions of my paintings (since 1986) – individually and collectively - at Official and Private institutions in my country, with many of them being part of private collections.
Thanks to the expertise and dedication of the aforementioned artists I was able to get timely and proper tools to express myself through Arts.
Skills such as drawing and painting through different techniques (oil, acrylics, pastel, and mixed-media among others), application of unconventional materials, and new media experimentation among other creative resources have helped me to establish the floor for a consistent dialogue in time and place by collecting all these abilities. The usage of color and textures help me to reveal moods and characters with a sense of deepness by which I try to show dramatic contents in my works.
Presently, I devote my time to the privilege of expressing myself through my paintings and help other people aim at the disclosing of their own creative resources.
A rewarding task, for sure!
